Morning, "Petty", we also say something LIKE crabbit here in the south east, we say "crabby" & it means the same thing as yours. We are poles apart yet we have similar words,I wonder what else is said similar ? I will watch The Hobbit,only so I can observe the many,(I suspect!) differences in the film to the book. At the moment the Dwarfs look ridiculas, Radagast looks a buffoon, Tauriel looks better suited to "world of Warcraft", Thranduil is the baddie from a Panto, & I KNOW theres going to be more!, thats before the "events" in the journey take place. I can see me having a "crabby" christmas after this, as The hobbit opens not to long before & the lingering "taste" will still be with me Christmas morning!

I like the Director, Ally. I just have terribly mixed feelings about the LotR movies. I expect it to be the same with The Hobbit. But I plan to try hard to enjoy it as a movie based loosely on the book.
Now, bagging PJ in Forumshire is something I can do with one part of my brain - the respectful to dead authors part - and enjoying PJ is something I can do with the shallower populist part of my brain. One needs a malleable brain when it comes to adaptations, methinks.
