Yes indeed- although worryingly I have yet to see an early edition from my insider friends- probably drunk again!

Those drunks - will they never learn!

Well, well! The Norwegian Russefeiring has begun! This means that I'll be somewhat less active over the next 17 days, but I'll pop in whenever I can!

Were they at the Kelvingrove Street Party? I'm not sure if I wish I was there or I'm glad I was thousands of miles away.

Have fun Ringdrotten! But do keep some wits about you- always hard to keep common sense to the fore when full of buckie and surrounded by drunken young ladies (or boys depending on your outlook), and you are only young once- the knack to that of course is to survive long enough to be able to look back and realize you are only young once! So have a blast but do try to keep some 'hobbit-sense' about you. I look forward to tall tales and feats of daring-do when you return (allowing an extra week of course to recover from the hangover ).

Eldo you would have had an excellent day out at kelvingrove until the police showed up. It has wrongly been descrribed as a Royal Wedding Party- it was not, there were no screens or even tv's showing the wedding- it was a party. Nor is it a riot- if the majority had rioted the police would not have stood a chance, most people are just having a good fun day, but when fuelled by buckie, well read the disclaimer on the bottle! Nice to see however the traditional Scottish attitude to authority is as strong among the young as ever (see GB it'll be a brave government that tries to tell the Scots people they can't have their freedom- and nice to hear so many accents about the place-see England we like foreigners!!).

Err... so what was that all about? Noticed the brave folk hidden in crowd throwing stuff - but what was actually going on?

Supposedly an unoffical royal wedding party that the police felt the need tobreak up three hours early cos people had been on the buckie!

Did anyone complain about naughty behavior -- or did the police just break it up because ALL police are party poopers? Was it an "unprovoked" party breaking-up-of?

Ahh read the article, Kafria! I don't know, but when lots of people get really drunk, violence usually eventuates -- in fact, almost always. Maybe the police were nipping it in the bud before things turned nasty... They quite often do with extreme alcohol use and huge numbers of young people. The police did not seem unduly nasty in the vids, though a few got clocked with stuff thrown by brave young folk throwing it from the safety of the mob....err... party people.... On the scale of police-young people to-do's, this one seems a little foppish, what?

Storm in a buckie bottle!

I'd have more sympathy for the partiers if they hadn't completely trashed the park. For all their whining about freedom, I wonder how many of them stopped to think about the freedom of other people to use and enjoy the park, not just then, but in the days to come. I can't help but feel that for a lot of - primarily younger - people "freedom" means "I get to be as much of an obnoxious ass as I want and no one can stop me".

I have to agree Wisey- I mean really! Bloomin' cheek! They'd be in big trouble if I could afford a lawyer! Disgraceful, disgraceful accusations.

There's nothing like a big edition of NotP Didn't know Ady looked like such a crook Half the page is missing though (that, or something is wrong with my web browser). Would love to see the rest as well

Try reducing your web page size Ringdrotten- if your using Firefox its control and + to zoom in and control - to zoom out. No idea what it is in explorer or chrome though. Might be the same.

Wouldn't want you miss Hobbit Lass of the Day- seeing as they seem to have gone with some sort of misguided tribute to your nation.

Been having lots of fun these two days. Buckie, ladies, sunny weather, grilling - what could be better?

Although not sure about 'grilling' is that Norweigian slang for something!
