Dreamt is archaic/poetic, fits the pattern of burned/burnt, but as Norc says typically only said not written.

Might not be for everyone, but I liked it a lot Very Happy
Those were great! Very Happy My brother's a bluegrass fan and has tried to introduce me to the genre lately.  I've heard of Justified too, though I had never listened to the theme song.  I'd never heard anything like this before, but I love this combination of music. Nod

Glad you liked it Very Happy It's more the other way around for me - never been a fan of rap, but very fond of bluegrass music. Like you I had no idea a combination of the two ever existed, but it sounds great Very Happy

Threw these together this morning. First one is a few layers which I thought might be good as a slow introduction before getting in to the main piece. The second was a few differing layers including the bit everyone recognises (which I wouldn't put in as a guitar line as sounds a bit thin).

Too bad we can't really hear the guitar on the fast part. It sounds like you are playing it slower than normal to me; if deliberate I think it's a good idea so various people can keep up with the more frantic upper parts.

As mentioned, it was a couple of ideas in hope to provoke to thoughts around he things may sound or how we could come up with our own arrangement. I think my click track was set at 104bpm so was a bit slow but suited it's purpose.

The base line was A, A, F, E mirroring the A minor, F and E chords i was playing.

Halfy - yes... the lead line was purposefully low as I wouldn't imagine that actually being played on a guitar, again was an idea of how it could fit.

Arrangement wise I thought it would be nice to start the thing off at a very slow tempo like that and build some layers up (would like to have dropped a military drum roll in the background too) until cutting off to silence and the starting up all guns blazing.

Just trying with the ideas for now hence the 1 take sloppy playing in it too.

I think it would actually add to the interest and excitement if you start the lead line on guitar, then the violin doubles it, the guitar drops out, etc.  Both of them doubling the line would add intensity, so you can ebb and flow the tension through doubling parts.

NB: Lance, I have no idea what she was talking about either, but hey...it's Norc.

I downloaded some sheet music for brass instruments to have a look. Would have been fun to join in, listening to this I suddenly thought a straight mute might give a good sound for this.
But I still haven't found out how to record, so....
