Well it was only seven posts; was pretty easy to make on-topic posts in enough threads. And this way I didn't have to explain how I was able to figure out what the 200,000th post was, which -- given how well my previous attempts at explaining that went over -- seemed to me to be in everyone's best interest.

I'm pretty excited about this milestone though, even with it coming after The Hobbit era ended (and during a slump in activity). Interestingly, our first 100K (after moving to the new forum) took two years and seven months, the second 100K took two years and ten months. I thought it would have been a little more imbalanced before I did the math.

Petty, just remember to make sure you do the same for 250k

I have screenshots of most of my thousand-post milestones on here going back to 3000 (on 13 February 2012, back when I had a Ryan Gosling avatar, if anyone remembers that ), though there were a few that I missed by 1-5 posts.

One other neat little factoid that I forgot to mention earlier is that we reached our 200,000th post 1975 days after the creation of the new forum, meaning that we've preserved our >100 ppd figure (though probably not for much more). Though we have a significant day-based milestone coming up in less than a month (not planning on making a thread for it tho).
