Concerning Admins

How can they possibly expect to successfully invade the New World without a dragonhead???

I might remind everyone that Eldo, Petty and myself are Moderators and that we will be available to receive the inevitable complaints about the new CEO. All complaints whether altruistically true or maliciously false will be assessed on their individual merits. We won't be fairer than that.

We also have Curly fries 64.0 Marielle-Gabrielle; which states that they should ask nicely when doing so as that is likely to be preferred by the admin.

Don't confuse Navel engineer with navel inspector or navel repair and redesign. I've made two lovely navels. I also made my own navel, though with some help from my mother as I was very young at the time.

Remember Unwriten Rule beef patties 34.c.2.11 Julia Figg' which states: Some requests will be granted however testily they are requested because, frankly, some Forumshirans are scarier than others.

Mind you, that was under the Former Administrator who was said to be timid in some circumstances.

I have a very very very polite request, Amarie - and I actually mean it! If you get this quickly enough, can you lock Eldo's Changing of the Guard Thread. I just read it through again with much sadness and joy, and his own last post ends discussions there quite beautifully in my view. I mean lock it but put it somewhere on its own on the front list of the forum so people can see it and read or re-read it at leisure in Read Only format. Just a polite request, Amarie. Any new posts would somehow break the simitry somehow.

I actually just took it down as a global announcement so as not to overly clutter the top section of the forums (that's a mod power, not an admin one; so is locking threads), but we could make it a long-term sticky for the Site Issues forum if there's interest.

If you make it Read Only and a sticky, I'm a hundred percent for it, Eldo. I love the last post. It reminds me somehow of the last bit of a The Hobbit where Gandalf asks for Bilbo to pass the tobacco jar. Don't know why it reminds me of that exactly, but it's one of my favouritist parts of The Hobbit - even if it's kinda sad it's over too. Any more comments on your Pensioning off can be put on this thread, so late posters can still tell you what they think of you.

But the avatar needs to be preserved for the full effect. Don't think that can be done, but it would be nice.

My current avatar is definitely reflective of where I am right now in a number of ways.

I locked it. It does give the thread a certain poetic ending.

That whole thread was poignant I wont forget it. Not just because Eldo unbarred himself but, the way everyone rallied round

Sadly, it was me who lodged it in Eldorion's thick skull, Azriel. Accidentally, of course. But I'm as glad as anyone that he has unbarred himself; and, looking at it in a glass half full way, the dent is really a rather good conversation starter at gay bars (apparently).

It was a really wonderful thread and I'm grateful for all the responses. Though Norc told me later that she expected people to "throw themselves at me" after I posted my speech.

The hypocrites! I at least have always thrown myself at you.

I'm not a hypocrite- I never throw myself at anyone- I learnt my lesson after the court case
