The Great Forumshire Story Empty The Great Forumshire Story

Post by Lancebloke Tue Jul 02, 2013 5:54 pm

His tongue tingled as he inhaled the salt tinged air that swept across the inky black sea, in to the small, sandy bay and up on to the cafe terrace. He raised his arm, extended his bony index finger and pushed the brim of the brown hat that sat atop his head. The adjustment revealed those eyes. Eyes that were famous in many circles in the criminal underworld. Eyes that were empty; devoid of any semblance of the human soul. Eyes that made even the most notorious criminals nervous.

'Mr Tyrant?' Whimpered the scrawny poker dealer from behind the table.

The reply came via two sharp taps on the table. He did not even look at the card before signalling no more.

'Straight flush, Mr Tyrant' exclaimed the dealer, the colour returning to his face as he revealed the winning hand.

'So, you had the guts to come back you slimy piece of rubbish.'

The atmosphere suddenly changed from relief to fear as the dulcet female tones emanated from behind them.

'I came to take back what is mine.'

The deep rumble of his voice combined with the working class Scottish accent was something nobody listening had heard before. Except the girl.

Tyrant gave a slight look to his right, a look that immediately cleared the area leaving the two of them alone.

'After what you did Tyrant? I hope she was worth it.'

The girl moved around to one of the now empty stools, placing herself on the edge and revealing a slither of silk like skin through the thigh high split along the side of the long black dress.

If he had any weaknesses, it was a beautiful woman. But this was a specimen he had once been able to call his own, no just another play thing. Beautiful, as he saw it, didnt come often reveal itself like it did through her.

'You know why I left, and you know it wasn't because of her.'

'And you know I never did the things he said. You know I couldnt have done that to you.'

'Bullshit!' Tyrant didnt often raise his voice. His ice cold attitude usually matched those dead eyes. As he looked up, however, his eyes were on fire. 'I only know one thing; you were the only person I told.'

'Then why did you come back?'

'I already told you,' he replied as he slowly rose from the chair. 'To take back whats mine.'

He turned away, his boots clicking on the marble floor ad he walked out of the cafe leaving his winnings on the table.

The girl reached in to the small handbag at her side and pulled out het mobile phone. She held the number 2 to activate a speed dial.

'It's Figgs,' she said, her voice trembling. 'He's back.'

The Great Forumshire Story Empty Re: The Great Forumshire Story

Post by Lancebloke Tue Jul 02, 2013 6:53 pm

The dark greens and blues of endless line of pine trees streaked passed in to a blur as the Green and White high speed train raced along the track through the lower Alps. Two figures stood atop, the force of the advancing train seemingly having no affect on them.

A hard high kicked crashed in to the jaw of the tall, muscle bound man followed by a second lightning quick shot to the ribs.

'Iz zat all you ave,' replied the man with a smile. A third and fourth kick found their targets.

'Nope,' replied the short female, her Fjordlandic accent cutting through as clear as the forest air. 'Plenty more where that came from you crazy French motherfucker.'

The man threw a punch, his sloppiness at complete odds with the precise, lightning fast strikes of his adversary. His second attempt was greeted with the rubber heel of her right boot connecting firmly with his neck.

'Make it last while you can une petite fille. You will soon be taking your last breath.'

The train had begun to curve it way around an outcropping of rock that very soon turned in to a small cliff on one side of the train, the forest continuing to sprawl away on the other.

The Frenchman advanced, trying to cut down the distance between them and render he kicks useless. She moved backwards with him throwing the odd stiff jab in his direction only to be replied by a flailing arm of his own.

She took a quick look at the backpack he had been carrying on his back for the last three days. This was her mission objective, however she had not intended to face the man directly until he made his began to make his move out of South Eastern France. He could not be allowed to get out of Europe or her mission would have failed.

'You are not gonna get it,' he laughed, catching her gaze.

'Fuck off, idiot,' she replied following with another kick. This time, however, he had been able to anticipate throwing his large, hammer like fist and connecting square in to her chest. She was lucky. As as back hit the roof of the train, a sudden jerk shuddered along the carriage, throwing him off balance and on to all fours.

The girl flipped off of her back and back to her feet. As she closed the distance between them the forest and crock opened up on to a huge vista across the mountains. The train had passed on to a long bridge over a deep, tree lined valley. Either side, snowy peaks rose in to the blue sky, zig zagging across the horizon.

As the man tried to regain his footing, she whipped her leg across the metal roof, connecting with the back of his already unbalanced knees and buckling his legs. He toppled over the side of the train, catching a small outcropping at the top of one of the passenger doors.

'Don't let me fall mon amie,' he shrieked as he looked directly in to the ravine hundreds of feet below.

She looked at him in pity. He would very likely have stamped on her fingers and sent her to a bloody death by now. Could she be so cold?

She leant down and reached out an arm.

'What are you doing?' he asked, the terror clear in his voice.

'Getting what I came for,' she said as she unzipped the bag and reached inside. She rose back to her feet, a long, thin black box in her hands. Clearly she could be that cold.

She walked along the train roof and climbed back inside the hatch that she had followed him out earlier, clicking the latch behind her. As she walked along the carriage, a scream came from the huddled passengers behind her as the train passed in to a long tunnel under the mountain.

She pulled a small phone out of her pocket and connected to the trains wi-fi.

'Agent Nora reporting in,' she said as she connected to a voice on the far side of the world.

'Mission complete?' said a man's voice from the other end.

'Of course,' she replied is her usual, confident manner.

'Good. We need you back asap. Another agent has called in with a bigger problem.'

'Oh?' she replied.

'I'll fill you in when you get back. Just get that box to Agent E.'

'Yes sir,' she said as she sat back in her seat. It would be a few hours before the train arrived at its next destination.

OMG! I LOVE IT! THIS IS GREAT!!!! cheers Kissing i love how Agent Nora has boots and not high heals and oh, the sidekicks ^^ did u know i got extra credit for them at my last training? what a coincident! I absolutely love the detailing you put into your narrating, the trees, height (lol)... although. two things. go through it one more time, there are some editor mistakes (just minor, you'll notice them when you read it again Wink ) and i don't have a fjordlandic accent. right, Eldo?

I am making it up as I go along. Not paying attention to details Norc! Maybe I will once I finish.

Also, thing with story telling is you have to go with what has been said.. so you have a Fjordlandic accent!

Your accent doesn't seem set in stone, that's true, so I'm sure the secret Agent version of you would be very good at blending in, dear. Kissing Far be it from to tell an author where to go, though. Wink
