It's nice to see you around again, Leelee. I hope that things have gotten better for you and your family.

Anyway, I've thought about revamping the rank system to account for higher post totals, but I hadn't gotten around to it yet. I kind of like that 500 is a major milestone, but if people want a new system I'll do some brainstorming and get back to you all. Everyone else is free to suggest their own ideas too, of course.

Oh thank you dear Julia, and Am, I miss you a lot. I do come and read what is written as many evenings as i can, and do what posting i can on the gentle planet and check for cheeky bits, but i have felt so exhausted that really my contributions are quite , er, lame. Worse than lame but the word escapes me now. And Eldo, you are always cool water in a parched place. Petty is a sure anchor in a dread storm and perhaps it has been the brain fever, but somehow Orwell seems rather more mellow and nice. Ally has come into herself And the rest of you fascinate me because your posts are so one of a kind, and i have to think about them. It is rather like walking into midsummer night's dream after you only just crawled out of a hair raising month in Alice's looking glass strange place and noticing back at home when you glance into the mirror you have a ten foot high brush cut.
Please, all of you keep making your amazing stories, they are like attending the best alien festivals, you are on a constant roller coaster ride and I never guess how things will turn out. Never.
This may be a small site but there is such a deep comraderie and all the bickering and consoling of a real wonderful almost functioning family. I don't drink buckie dear Petty , but i wonder if it works as a good rinse for one's hair?

Am! how proud of you I am. No wonder you have to go on vacation today, tomorrow, can't remember. Please come back to us refreshed and at peace. And David, how very kind. If were in Manhattan right now i should invite you to be my guest at a nice restaurant, lovely ambience, perfect food, spotless waiters and good conversation. What you call a gentle voice, the teachers at parent teacher meetings call' could you please speak a little louder.) So when some of them heard me singing metal (I mostly sing Celtic ) at a concert with my family(left handed slap base, lead guitar, drums , etc) they sat with their mouths open and strangely none have spoken to me since. But it was for charity.

That sound absolutely delightful Leelee, but I worry it might be a bit above the station of a humble and bashful farmer hobbit who rarely has occasion to even tuck in his shirt tails.
