I just want to sit and happily watch the Trump entry speech over and over.

The biggest fear is I think people may have a hard time resisting voting for him just to watch what happens, in much the same way it's hard to resist sticking firecrackers into ant hills. I'm not sure myself if I'll be able to control the darker angels of my nature come election day.

Some crazy guy running for president that people will vote for. I don't think Trump has a chance though.

Did he ever say whether he was running as a Republican? Or will he go independent? I hope the second, to keep this thing going as long as possible.

I'd assume he's running republican, just as Bernie Sanders is independent, but running as a dem. He needs the exposure that the pre-caucus debates bring. That's the only way he'll get people's attention.

The scary thing is that one of my coworkers said he was going to vote for Trump, today. I thought he was joking, but he seemed serious. He thought Trump was the only one who understood what's going on in the country and how to fix it.

Pretty scary.

I don't really know any business folk, so it's just possible that they all think and act like Trump and I never had the chance to find out.

Trumps race to the WH is either going to be a colossal disaster or really quite amazing. He is a slightly ridiculous figure here in the UK, but he certainly knows his onions where business is concerned. A gigantic ego combined with unnerving money making capabilities. its a bit scary.

What I don't understand about republicans and bringing up business experience. So they're saying that running the government is like running a business? So then why do they want to be so hands off in running it? They don't want to do anything, cut programs, slash revenue with tax cuts. Sounds like a bad way to run a business.

Well on the plus side we might finally find out, democratically, just how bonkers mad America actually is!

Minnesotans put Jesse Ventura in office - who is nearly as full of bluster as Trump - though to his credit Ventura actually has a heart. I suspect Trump may have one buried somewhere in there too; my only evidence being what appears to be a sweet daughter in Ivanka.

Really? You think he'll top Bush 2004?

Bush was just a clueless doof. Can't come close to matching the blustering pomposity of Trump.

2004 was not an entertaining election.

I find US elections equally as entertaining as I do terrifying

The scariest thing is the run of vice-presidents we've had, or the possible vice presidents. Quayle, Cheney, Palin...even Biden is somewhat unnerving because you never know what will come out of his mouth. All one step from the presidency. Gore is the only one I remember personally that didn't scare me. And Bush 1, I suppose. In comparison he turned out okay.

The "Who get's to carry the atomic football?" question certainly gets a bit scary when the answer is Bush, Palin or Trump.
